COVID Update

The Shepherd & Shepherdess are excited to announce that we will be reopening our doors on Saturday 4th July.

We can't wait to welcome back all of our amazing customers and will have new measures in place to ensure both your and our safety. We will be strictly following Government guidelines by enhancing our existing high standard of hygiene. All customers will be asked for a telephone number and name to comply with Government regulations. We must enforce this and failure to do so will regrettably result in refusal of service.

We are making a number of changes to our menu to ensure we can maintain quality service while keeping your favourite dishes available. We will be removing breakfast service for now and will unfortunately be suspending our Wednesday Quiz Night for the foreseeable future. In addition to this, the outdoor play area will be closed for the foreseeable future and we are no longer able to provide high chairs or allow push chairs into the building. This is not  decision we have taken lightly, however we must do this to comply with social distancing guidelines within the restaurant.

These are extraordinary times, however we can't wait to bring back some normality and welcome you back into our restaurant. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us directly on 0191 370 0349 and our staff will be happy to help.

Carling Community Awards

The Shepherd and Shepherdess are proud to announce, that after being nominated by area manager Stuart Ireland to the Carling Community Awards we have been awarded a Defibrillator on site.

This is following an incident where our staff heroically provided first aid assistance to a member of the public. As management, we are very proud of all of our staff, and well done to them all on such a fantastic achievement. We would also like to send our thanks to the St John’s Ambulance for providing Defibrillator Training.
